I am a writer and academic based in London with
interests in art, psychoanalysis, and Marxism.

My writing has appeared in e-flux, The Brooklyn Rail,
Parapraxis, and Los Angeles Review of Books, as
well as in academic journals like Qui Parle, Paragraph,
Textual Practice, and Rethinking Marxism.

I am the author of Genres of Transition, the editor of 
Roberto Schwarz and World Literature, and the
co-editor, with Sinan Richards, of Understanding
Lacan, Understanding Modernism.

I am currently working on a book about the history of
Brazilian abstract art, provisionally titled Mondrian’s
Firebomb: Avant-Garde and Underdevelopment in Brazil.
